In the fairly gardens of Thailand brand Stretsis , the Tokyo Fashion Week start. It’s a very modern, and also Japanese way of doing the things. It all that splendor of colors,textile,beautiful shapes and craft, the Tokyo Fashion Week ,years from now, is becoming one of the biggest World Fashion centres.In a case of Stretsis,they show 70s inspired collection, with lot of dresses,coats,tones of flowers, it was so jolly and remind me of the Spring, but put for Winter is a real jam.In pink fur, purple parka, green berets ,maxi hippy floral dresses, cool hat pieces in a form of fox, lot of white, all in perfect urban combination and styling.
Second show
of the day was by Motohiro Tanji, the avant-garde knit maker, which knit is a
sculptural and conceptual aria really like Tanji designs, who are always on the
edge of theatrical and art.He is a master of the knitwear, and we see today an
very strong collection, in black, white and blue, futuristic prism of the
present.Tanji is making an story of cuts, shapes and excellent knitting. From
the sweaters whit volume and texture, to the black part of skirts and tops,
which were giving an liberation spirit, to the blue knit-cut perfection, all
set on a very conceptual catwalk. My admiration for Motohiro Tanisha is a
designer, who needs to be seen and respect, in the whole World.
KEITA MARUYAMA
presents his collection in a Theatre setting. The big red curtain was open and
the model start to parade on the catwalk and there was everything, from a
Japanese tradition to modern futuristic hats. It’s all look like, different character
present in every piece, from teen girl with her Panda purse, to the lady with
her dog in her hands, or a flamboyant woman with a cigarette in her hand. All
of this was happening, and it`s very interesting way(something like JPG, don’t
you think).The tailoring was very good, beautiful floral
prints,polka-dots,platforme shoes,coats,patchwork fur in beautiful tones,sheer,tweed,ladys hats
and most amazing ball gowns at the end in such an touch of couture, in pink,
red and purple. Beautiful and modern.
On TAKEO
KIKUCHI invitation to the show, under
the British crown, was written “TRUTH”.
The excellent menswear designer, which is the classy Japan,with one of the best
conceptual and modern-urban stores in Tokyo(I really like the architectural D),present
an bespoke collection, inspired by the British style, from country aristocracy
to the court style. It a biggest influence on the Kikuchi design, from Saville Road
bespoke tailors, and he wants to say thank you, and give his admiration, show
the truth of his designs.
What we see
was model dancing,on the music from the band ,which was playing live on the stage, in street wear, very flamboyant style,free,very young, male berets,
stripe harem pants, ties hanging around, conceptual boots, funny hats(in all
sort of styles from sport to elegant),beautiful
modern tailoring,it looks like dandy Japan,a Kikuchi feeling for the British
style,like a parody.There were trainers,cool bags,trench coats,a lot of white,black and pink.
Perfect
craft and an urban street wear,which is still in deep conection with the classy
style.
