Sometime even
the best track, or the piece of clothing that we really like, get bored to as,
in some point of life. What I want to say ,is that Slimane rock collections for
Saint Laurent, The silhouette is the same,70s,80s or 90s rock-
scene style, with slim pants, miniskirts,white bride mini dress tulle
miniskirts,blasers,ripped stockings ,an Courtney Love inspiration,very androgynous,but
still enough woman like.Than sheer tops,sexy (cut)tiny leather minidresses,bomber
and biker jacets, smokey eyes
and red lipstick(seen on every model),stipe knit ,metallic,ripped(zipp) leather
pants,ankle rocky boots,glitter,fringe,glam,mesh ,the same. If
YSL, made collections, taking references from Mondrian, to Russian culture and
the woman smoking, Slimane, is inspired obviously by the musician from the 60s
till 90s (rock one especially) trying to re-create or only to copy the look. Is
a bit sad, as even the musicians, who sing this kind of music are not dressing
like that anymore, and the time of the groupies(girls)is long gone, as the
bands members get too old, and the new ones are totally different, and there is
a little of this lifestyle. But he is sure, that this is the best way of dressing,
and people are buying, plus is YSl, so is not even important, and must admit he
is a genius for this kind of clothes. His tailoring is exceptional.What else
take attention was the re-disigning the YSL LE SMOKING ,again in Slimane rocky
way,and the cocktail and night dresses,glittery party sexy dresses, a bit boho
ones,tied on the waist,or with a french ribbon collar,beautiful black lace,few
romantic 40s style dresses, and catchy
fur coats.
It`s a bit
of mixed this time,but still there is not a completely fresh new look.Hope
Slimane,will invent or re-invent ,something new,soon.
