Connecting in the big picture at African Fashion Week Autumne-Winter 2015 5-7 March 2015

The Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Joburg,or African Fashion Week, for the season Autumne-Winter 2015 finished three days ago, sheduled from 5-7 March 2015.What you will find on this fashion week,
is a strong message, an cultural and modern understanding of the World today. Africa is not only Safari, desert, tribes and golf courts, its about music, art and fashion too. Trying to catch the spirit of the modern time, or to look bit of European or American ,African designer are losing a bit of the mood of the African continent ,but still in today’s Global understanding of the fashion, can pass relevant, as a statement.Few of them are still deep conectet to the African dressing tradition, as seen at Khosi Nkosi. For the  Autumne-Winter collection 2015,there is a lot of beautiful ides, good craft and quality fabrics. As an inspiration you can see a theme from the Snow White Disney cartoon ,to desert scarfs, futuristic cuts, graphic prints and the motive with the hand ,as I put it like a must have(as in decoration, the hand chair, is the boom of the season ) or you can take as a selfie taker, whatever.I can see a little connection with the 70s style preferred from the big fashion corporations ,but that is not a problem at all, as here you can see ,really good clothes, that you can wear everywhere ,and be African(Global)chic .The production maybe is small, and African designers has yet to established in the World Fashion Stage, as the fashion week itself, but what they presenting from season to season, is a real fresh design`s ,which are full with modern spirit and power.
Here are some of my favorite  pieces, from the collection of few designers.
