After the death of one of America and Worlds most influential designers,Oscar de La Renta
,which timleess elegance and glamour, were epitome of grace of United States First Ladys, and many more celebrities around the World. His legacy was given in the hands of Peter Copping, even before Mr.de La Renta died,he was appointed as a creative director. It was said, that he "will bring a fresh perspective to our brand, continuing the evolution of our business",which was enough, all of as,to wait the most immportant up-coming show of the Week.
In most radical of show room(for Oscar de La Renta),the models start to parade, in black elegant coat, worn over a turtleneck white dress, than stiped multi colored skirts and an littel jackets, with 18th centuary like white shirts, sofisticated black and white fur coat and a skirt, bell high waist skirt, romantic floral dress in white and blue, and indigo suit, with pocket-skirt.Very classy was the purple color on a skirt suit, and on a silk dress, worn under an brown fur coat.Maybe most interesting and like an inovation was the rose mini dress, real dial, for every romantic soul.Touchy was the silver emboidered bolero, and the yellow coctail dress.More floral was shown on the show,on one beautiful dress, with very artistic black roses on white,or blue, pink and purple on a black one.The red lace and toned-pieces gowns, the glorious black lace, silver and golden florals(so oriental) and the most glamorous sofisticated huge ball gowns in rose, red and gold(de La Renta`s signature style),were enough good ,even for the most picky eye.
It was a solid start for Peter Copping, because even he played good with the Hause heritage, some of the new ideas were not that well structured and there has to be a bit more concentration,on the fabrics and expecialy on the shapes and the palete. No more critic,I wishing to Peter all the best at Oscar de La Renta.
