MET Costume Institute’s Next Exhibition will be Rei Kawakubo

After the rumors at her last show in Paris,early this month,it`s official announce that subject of the next Met Costume Institute`s exhibition will be the Woman designes from Comme des Garcons of Rei Kawakubo.Most interesting fact is that she is the second in the line of the living designers,after YSL,on who will be done an retrospective exhibition.
Next 1st of May,at the Met Gala,will be all from Kawakubo`s designes,from her first collection in 1981,till present time.It`s an exhibition separate in the contest of her ideas of design,on the female/male,East/West and all what Rei Kawakubo is all about.It will be plus an new way of presentation,something that will made a better interaction with the people,that will view the exhibition.In the end this is an omage,to a living designer,that left an mark on the World fashion,with creating her unique conceptual look.
